Dear Keith,

While in Manila and where you are they may still be blasting, but here
in Cebu City it was really slow. Over the last ten years I noticed a
decline even though there is more money.

My theory is they get more money selling "fountains," and "roman candles,"
flash, than firecrackers, bang. Flash is big money and easy to buy
anywhere in Cebu City, legal, even the sari sari store. You have to look
for bang. Offically I think they are illegal. I have seen few firecrackers
for sale and was happy not many hands were blown up last night, or at
least not as many as usual according to some reprorters.
