[LinP3] Re: A better-than-diesel DIESEL, made in the Phils? No Tariff on this stuff

The only problem is the coconut oil locally sells for more then Diesel at the pump. I have a
friend that has a coconut oil mill and he has people standing in line to buy coconut oil at
45 piso per liter wholesale

When crude oil gets to $120 a barrel then it may be less expensive to purchase coconut
oil

Many people are planting Jathropia in this area for a future fuel source for diesels this oil
should be cheaper then diesel if crude oil stays over 90 per barrel

They are planting 100,000 Hectares in Palawan into Jathropia planting and processing
plant to be funded and manaaged by company from Spain

Best Regards

Tom

[LinP3] Re: Keeping your driver's license

Chris,

Not only is it not laminated but I put mine inside the 'picture'
section of my wallet (the little clear plastic bit) & when I pulled my
card out later it had stuck to the plastic, the photo had cracked &
broke apart. I will have to get it replaced now.

Keith.

[LinP3] Re: Cebu Pacific Online

I wonder if the card troubles started after class action lawsuit
brought in U.S. against Mastercharge and Visa charging an
extra "foreign Transaction fee" for using U.S. cards overseas. They
settled out of court by the way. I received letter saying I am
entitled to refund of $25. Whoopee. I wonder how much the lawyers got.

Never say never.

When I converted my foreign driver's license I was
required to take a written test.

As a side note: the driver's license is not laminated.

No one seems to believe me but it is not that difficult and no fixers or special arrangements are required. Converting a foreign driver's license to a Philippine license never requires a written
test. I don't know about the temporary license thing but I know that all the Filipinos and me got permanent laminated driver's licenses immediately the day I was at the LTO. Maybe it is different if the laminating machine is broken or they don't have one.

One more comment, Bill. If you are talking about the more traditional

[LinP3] Re: Keeping your driver's license

It all depends on the LTO office one visits. I stopped in at 2pm to see what I would need to get my license. By 4:30pm I had the permanent laminated license. Total cost for everything was P720. I never saw a fixer.

[LinP3] Re: Cebu Pacific Online

They didn't accept my mastercard from the UK either. I
booked over the phone with them but no e-ticket
arrived for 6 weeks by which time I'd already booked
the same flight through a HK travel agent. Now double
booked. Cebu Pacific ignoring my several e-mails
trying to get the original booking cancelled and my
money back. Pretty crap outfit as far as admin goes
..... in my opinion.
